SOLUTE is the Prime contractor responsible for the technical direction and development of the Training and Operational Readiness Information System (TORIS) Enterprise Suite for the U.S. Navy. TORIS is a web-centric, enterprise-level, data collection, transfer, storage/warehousing, and decision support system designed to capture warfighter mission area training and sustainment proficiency information from the U.S. Navy surface fleet. SOLUTE performs data analytics research and database management for the TORIS program and aids in the development of analytical and visualization tools that provide data collection, data display, and data sharing for all surface force ships and all Afloat Training Groups (ATGs), both Pacific and Atlantic. SOLUTE conducts data cleansing, backup, and data integrity strategies for all production systems, including the TORIS Afloat to Navy Information Application Product Suite (NIAPS) replication pipeline, Fleet Views, Stoplights, Unit Information, MSP (Master Scheduling Program), AEPP (ATG Enterprise Personnel Program), and Basic Phase Training view. This includes the development and introduction of analytical capabilities and data and infrastructure innovation and support.
SOLUTE has led modernization efforts to upgrade the TORIS development and hosting environment at the tactical level by designing and developing new software packages and upgrading existing software. Beyond software, SOLUTE created a new architecture and added new customer features on the updated stack that runs alongside the legacy system. This allowed for the introduction of new mobile apps and fleet requirements to the new technical system, without interfering with the integrity of the legacy system.
