San Diego, Calif., February 11, 2020 – SOLUTE engineers begin work providing software development, software design, code and unit testing, subsystem integration, system integration, and test support for Mission Planner Software Development. The work will contribute to Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) 6 software development efforts.

Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense is a U.S. Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency program and a component of the Aegis Combat System. It is an advanced command and control, weapon control system that uses computer and radar technologies to defend against short to intermediate-range ballistic missiles. The number of Aegis BMD-capable Navy ships is projected to reach 59 by the end of FY2024.
