San Diego, Calif. , December 17, 2017 – Commander Submarine Squadron 11 (CSS11) is about to experience some relief to teleconferencing issues. Today, SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific (SSCPAC) awarded a contract to SOLUTE Inc. to upgrade the Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system in building 633 of Naval Base Point Loma Submarine Base.
SOLUTE will be installing all-new VTC equipment, including cameras, speakers, displays, network converters, and codecs. Upon integration of the new components and infrastructure, the result will be a significant upgrade to CSS11’s teleconferencing capabilities. Prior to this effort, CSS11 was limited to holding video teleconferences off-site.
“We’re very excited to provide increased communications ability to CSS11,” said Andrew Stone, Program Manager at SOLUTE, Inc. “SOLUTE has been supporting SSCPAC with large-scale contracts for years, but I think this award shows that SPAWAR trusts us to provide the highest quality of work to even the smallest details.”
SOLUTE, Inc. and SSCPAC have partnered for over 15 years to enable the Pacific Fleet to operate at the highest level of readiness and capability. The work on this contract will be performed on-site at Naval Base Point Loma Submarine Base.
