San Diego, Calif., March 11, 2020 – SOLUTE has been awarded Task Order 05 – MARC2 Development and Task Order 06 – Advanced C2 Architecture Development Phase 2 under the Advanced Command and Control (C2) and Software Modernization indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity Phase III SBIR contract. These awards add to the momentous work SOLUTE has been providing since September 2019 under the contract.
Through the SBIR Program Solute has developed advanced and innovative technologies for the DoD that are essential to the C2 domain; real-time collaboration, automated distribution, deployment, and installation of C2 applications in a tactical environment, data fusion, algorithm development and data analytics, and other various infrastructure optimization techniques including automation, containers, and other DevOps enablement and capabilities.
Task Order 05 – MARC2 Development. The work will include providing technical analysis and research and development support for Maritime C2 (MARC2) under PEO C4I. TO 05 derives from, extends, or completes efforts which were previously performed by Solute under predecessor Maritime Tactical Command and Control (MTC2) System Integration Topic – Expanded C2 Cloud Architecture Automated Application Distribution Deployment, and Rapid Innovative Funds (RFI) Navy Wave Programmatic Development and Integration. SOLUTE will resolve current Information Assurance (IA) findings and Software Trouble Reports (STRs) as prioritized by the Government.
Task Order 06 – Advanced C2 Architecture Development Phase 2. This work derives from, extends, or completes efforts which were previously performed by Solute under predecessor Navy Wave RIF and will include providing technical analysis, research and development, software development, integration, and test and evaluation for advanced C2 technologies for PEO C4I. Specifically, Solute shall develop a prototype architecture computer software product utilizing microservices and service mesh networks previously explored under the RIF for use in command and control environment. The development work will include a design and implementation of container-based architectures, research and analysis of C2 application functionality, mitigation of risk for transition to programs and projects, and support for developing associated technical documentation. Solute shall install commercially available software purchased by the Government to construct a mesh stack and install the software on Government owned servers located at a Government lab in San Diego. Solute shall provide all necessary support to assure the service mesh architecture is running correctly and the microservice applications are performing on the architecture normally.
