San Diego, Calif., June 1, 2021 – The Naval Supply Systems Command, FLC San Diego has awarded SOLUTE the Commander Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Support Contract. SOLUTE begins immediate work to fulfill this requirement, bringing specialized expertise and SMEs in Fleet training and operational readiness.
The contract will advance surface and mine warfare forces in tactics, techniques, and procedures, furthering the unprecedented US Navy legacy and the achievements of the prepared warfighter.
SMWDC’s mission is to increase the lethality and tactical proficiency of the Surface Force across all domains. This mission is realized through execution of four lines of operation: Advanced Tactical Training, Doctrine and Tactical Guidance Development, Operational Support, and Capability Assessment/Experimentation/Requirements. SMWDC SME support is required to execute and achieve the command’s four lines of operations via individual, unit level, and group instruction, training assessment, support of the Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) program, operational support, and development of operational and tactical doctrine.
The contract will be performed at SMWDC HQ and Divisions in San Diego, CA; Dahlgren, VA; and Little Creek, VA.
