San Diego, Calif., February 4, 2021 –SOLUTE has been awarded a research and development contract through the Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC) to create a new production architecture system for PMS 485. SOLUTE will develop a modularized, scalable, architecture to meet future needs, accelerate delivery, improve system stability, and reduce the cost of new capabilities. The new system will be built with an advanced Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) environment, supporting the DoD CIO Enterprise DevSecOps Initiative.
PMS 485 provides Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) for large-scale signal and information processing and display. The Integrated Common Processor (ICP) serves as the common, critical information processing subsystem that facilitates detection, classification, localization, tracking, and reporting within MSS. The current ICP architecture needs improvements to gracefully meet future demands, pay down technical debt, and increase developer productivity. SOLUTE will architect an ICP Next Generation to meet the needs of modernization and future processing demands.
SOLUTE brings its expertise in Agile software development, DevSecOps infrastructure, platform infrastructure, cyber accreditation, and application modernization to this effort. The SOLUTE team includes subject matter experts from L3Harris Adaptive Methods, Sedna Digital Solutions, Metron Scientific Consulting, In-Depth Engineering, Venator Solutions, and General Dynamics Mission Systems.
