San Diego, Calif., – SOLUTE receives follow-on systems engineering task order as the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) development continues. SOLUTE works alongside the Navy to achieve the initial operational capability (IOC) milestone in 2023. The Unmanned Patrol Squadron (VUP) 19, the Navy’s first Triton squadron, continues to maintain and operate the aircraft, maturing concept of operations and refining tactics, techniques, and procedures.
The purpose of this task order is to analyze, develop, integrate, and provide technical support for required interfaces between the MQ-4C TRITON UAS and PEO C4I and National Intelligence Community systems to allow for expanded Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) capability and data exploitation.
SOLUTE has provided systems engineering support directly to the MQ-4C Triton UAS program office for over eleven years. Our engineers have been embedded in the PMA-262 Mission Systems, Interoperability, and Advanced Development Integrated Product Teams (IPT). They have specialized in Mission Control Station development and testing; network, communications, and data links interoperability; and special missions integration. The work has and will continue to enhance the Triton’s warfighting ability to deployed and developing systems.
