Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)
NAVAIR delivers superior weapon systems to warriors for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps mission success. Their products and services include fixed and rotary wing aircraft, avionics, air and surface-launched weapons, electronic warfare systems, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, launch and arresting gear, and training systems.
NAVAIR encompasses various sites across the country. With an estimated 32,000 military and civilian employees, NAVAIR manages approximately 150 acquisition programs and maintains more than 4,100 aircraft in active inventory, including 96 types/models/series. Their principal customers include the operating forces of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, joint programs of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), other activities of the U.S. Armed Forces, and foreign allies. The NAVAIR organization has made significant contributions to the Fleet by providing total life cycle support: research, design, development, and engineering; acquisition; test and evaluation; repair and modification; and in-service engineering and logistics support. Both NAVAIR and the NAVAIR contract vehicle have provided significant contributions to the Fleet in support of naval aviation and warfighter requirements.
SOLUTE'S NAVAIR Work
SOLUTE's work under the NAVAIR contract includes a variety of services and expertise. For example, we provide production management, engineering, and technical support services for Naval Navigation Systems under the PMA 209 program. SOLUTE also provides systems engineering, technical services, and program management support to the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Unmanned Aerial System (BAMS UAS) program (PMA 262). Under the PMA 290 program, we provide engineering and production support for the P-8A aircraft. In addition, we provide engineering and production support to the H-60 Multi-mission Helicopter program under PMA 299 tasking; this includes support and integration of the Airborne Mine Counter Measures (AMCM) and Armed Helo capabilities.
